Amanda Donahue, ACMHC

Amanda is an ACMHC at Hope and Healing who holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Westminster University. She holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University, with concentrations in Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.

She practices from an integrative psychodynamic and neuroscience perspective, primarily drawing on Jungian, Attachment, and Object Relations theories, as well as the process of memory reconsolidation, to assist clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that influence their lives. Alongside exploring how early experiences influence present relationships, she is interested in helping clients discover deeper parts of themselves that may show up through emotions, recurring patterns, art, imagination, dreams, and play.

Amanda strives to create a warm, creative, playful, and reflective space where clients feel comfortable bringing their full selves into the room. She is most passionate about providing concurrent family therapy, treating reactive attachment disorder, and working with teenagers.

When not providing therapy, Amanda enjoys reading, hiking, bedazzling, and paddleboarding.
