Stephanie Kelley, CMHC

 Stephanie Kelley is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) who has been with Hope and Healing Child and Family Counseling since 2021. She is dedicated to building strong therapeutic alliances with clients, viewing trust as the essential foundation for meaningful progress and the achievement of therapy goals.

Stephanie specializes in working with children and their parents to strengthen connection and improve family communication. When working with children, Stephanie focuses on supporting emotional regulation across settings, enhancing introspection, and fostering social awareness and confidence. 

In her work with adults, Stephanie facilitates increased self-awareness, reflection, and perspective-taking in their daily lives. She integrates a trauma-informed, attachment-based framework and utilizes a psychodynamic approach, helping clients explore their attachment history and deepen self-reflection and understanding of their feelings and behaviors.Her approach emphasizes creating a space of acceptance and curiosity, where clients can explore their experiences at a thoughtful, unhurried pace. She values consistent, longer-term weekly therapy as a pathway to lasting growth and meaningful change.

Stephanie earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Westminster College. She has completed post-graduate training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Theraplay, Neurosequential Module of Therapy, and Dyadic Developmental Practice. She is currently completing a certificate in the Combined Child Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program along with the Infant Observation Program through the International Psychotherapy Institute.

When out of the office, Stephanie loves reading, traveling, and creating, along with spending time with family and her dog.
