Gillian Trujillo, CMHC-I

Gillian Trujillo is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern from Westminster University.  She received her B.A. in Psychology in 2021 from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is set to graduate with her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2025. Prior to her pursuit of a counseling career, Gillian has worked as a case manager for child survivors of domestic violence, homeless youth, and young adults aged out of foster care.  She has also conducted trauma-informed parenting classes in shelter settings.

Gillian practices from an attachment-based psychodynamic lens in tandem with a range of trauma-informed somatosensory interventions.  This holistic approach strives to promote client introspection, safety, and a more deeply integrated sense of self.   She additionally seeks to facilitate clients’ explorations of their social and cultural systems for the purpose of fostering connections and strengthening personal values.  She believes the therapeutic relationship is collaborative, and feels deeply privileged to join families in their journeys towards healing.
