Jon is an intern at Hope and Healing while completing his MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Westminster University. He is also a founding member of Westminster University's Counseling Society. Jon received his BS in Psychology from the University of Utah. Jon takes a combined approach when it comes to therapy. He believes that attachment and early childhood development will affect a person's beliefs throughout life. Within these moments, irrational beliefs and cognitive distortion develop, which impacts how a person interacts with others. His goal is to create a healthy relationship between the child and the caregiver. Jon works with all ages at Hope and Healing, including families. Outside of the office, Jon spends his time with his family, their dog, and perfecting his BBQing techniques.
