Elyse Gile is a Certified Social Worker who began working at Hope and Healing in July of 2022. She graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah in 2014 (go Utes!) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida in 2011 (go Gators!). Elyse has worked in the mental health field since 2011 with experience in elementary schools, adolescent residential treatment, hospice, and nursing homes. Most of her experience is with elementary-age children and families and with adolescents in treatment. She also holds a Utah Educator License as a School Social Worker.
Elyse sees therapy as an opportunity to meet someone where they are and help them build up to their fullest potential. She considers it an honor and a privilege to join kids and families on a part of their journey through life, however big or small that part may be. She strongly believes in the power of play and connection when working with kids. In her clinical work, Elyse draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, and Mind-Body Bridging principles, attachment theory, and TBRI. She strives to create a safe space using a trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach.
Outside of the office, Elyse enjoys spending time with her daughter and her family. She enjoys going for walks, going to movies, finding new parks, traveling, and just relaxing at home. She is a huge fan of all things Disney and all things Harry Potter. She enjoys live music and has been to more concerts than she can count.
