Hope and Healing Child and Family Counseling is an outpatient treatment facility for children and families. We utilize a variety of modalities based on attachment /trauma informed research including; Theraplay, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Neurosequential Model of Therapy (NMT), and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. We often utilize theories such as psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), and Attachment Theory.
Our clinicians work together with children and their caregivers to support attachment and connection in the healing process. Caregivers are highly involved in treatment through check-ins, individual sessions, sessions with your child, and parent groups.
We provide research-based treatment for single-incident and complex trauma, attachment, and treatment for traumatized or hard-to-manage children, including children in foster care, adopted through foster care, or adopted through orphanages. We also provide treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral problems, family issues, and more.
Our clinicians are trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). "TBRI is an attachment-based trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children" (Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, 2019). It is a therapeutic model that trains parents and caregivers to provide effective support and treatment for at-risk children. Our clinic operates on the TBRI parenting model and approaches difficult behaviors and stressors on the parent-child relationship from a connected parenting framework.
